  1. 1. Go to the SMSGlobal for Salesforce listing
  2. 2. Click Get It Now
  3. 3. Select from installation options:
    1. a. Get It Now
    2. b. Install for All Users
    3. c. Install for Specific Profiles
  4. 4. Click Install
  5. 5. Approve third-party access by ticking the checkbox and click Continue
  6. 6. Once complete, click Done
  7. 7. Login to your SMSGlobal MXT account to access the API key and Secret key (click here to create a free MXT account)
    1. a. Click API & Integrations on Main Menu, then navigate to API Keys tab
      1. For more information regarding REST API generation, please refer to the MXT support article: 'How to generate a new REST API Key/Secret?'
  8. 8. Copy the REST API Key and Secret to the corresponding fields in SMSGlobal for Salesforce
  9. 9. Click Save Credentials

To start sending SMS with SMSGlobal for Salesforce, please follow these steps:
  1. 1. Login to your SMSGlobal MXT account
  2. 2. Secure a pricing model (subscription, pre-paid, or post-paid) and ensure that your account can successfully send SMS.
  3. 3. Start sending SMS from the Salesforce platform by clicking the 'Send SMS' tab or set up automated SMS in the 'Settings' tab.
    1. a. 'Activity History' allows you to track the delivery status of all SMS sent, plus you have access to sophisticated reporting in the MXT platform.

  1. 1. In Salesforce, click on the Settings cog and select Setup
  2. 2. Navigate to Objects and Fields, and select Object Manager from the drop-down menu
  3. 3. Select the page you would like to edit
  4. 4. Click Page Layouts and select Edit
  5. 5. You may need to override the default layout to add buttons. Before dragging buttons, find the notification banner and click on the hyperlink that says 'override the predefined actions.'
  6. 6. In the edit page, select Mobile & Lightning Actions. Drag the chosen button to the desired location on the page.
    1. a. For example, drag the custom button Send SMS to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
  7. 7. Click Save to finish

  1. 1. In Salesforce, click on the Settings cog and select Setup
  2. 2. Navigate to Objects and Fields, and select Object Manager from the drop-down menu
  3. 3. Select the page you would like to edit
  4. 4. Click Search Layouts for Salesforce Classic
  5. 5. Choose the layout, then click the down arrow on the right and select Edit
  6. 6. In the Custom Buttons section, select the Send Bulk SMS button and click Add >to move it to the right
  7. 7. Click Save to finish
