Two-Way SMS

Included in every SMSGlobal account, is the opportunity to receive replies to your SMS message FREE of charge.

There are numerous ways in which 2 way text messaging can be beneficial to your business. To name but a few :

To receive replies from messages sent from within any of our applications including MobileWorks and Outlook Plugin utilising our free 2-way service, there is NO COST to receive replies.

Dedicated Incoming Number

If you wish to have a dedicated incoming number (e.g. 0418 123 456) that is forwarded to a URL on your server, this can be setup on your account for a small fee $50 setup + $50 per number per month inc GST. Setup time to provision is 7-10 working days. Please contact us for more information on this.

With a SMSGlobal reply number there are four main options for retrieval of messages.

Online inbox

All Messages are stored in an online inbox held within the MobileWorks

SMS to Email

All messages can be copied to the account's email address upon receipt.

SMS Via HTTP

To integrate the receive facility into other applications we can also forward the messages to a URL via HTTP.
e.g.
We will post to you as each message comes in to a URL such as:
http://www.yourserver.com/receivesms.php?to=TO&from=FROM&msg=MSG&date=DATE

SMS via SMPP

All messages can be copied to the account's email address upon receipt.

Using our gateway, SMSGlobal is able to provide dedicated incoming mobile number hosting for use with 2-way messaging and incoming, mobile originated messaging (MO).

2-way SMS can be performed through our standard MSISDN 'pool' of shared numbers, or can be setup using a single or group of dedicated MSISDN's.

Using a dedicated MSISDN SKL can advertise this number to the public for MO campaigns and can also ensure that all incoming message traffic is destined for their use. This allows incoming messages to be routed via a number of protocols as listed below:

• Via XML
• Via SMPP
• Via Email
